The devastating effects of the latest hurricane have given rise to conspiracy tropes broadcast on Musk’s social platform, X. False claims that lithium miners are exploiting the devastation and aid is being diverted to illegal entrants pour acid on the psyche of already traumatized victims of the storm. Trump’s rambling incoherence seems to satisfy his supporter’s appetite for substance including Elon Musk. More frightening, among Trump’s followers are Christian Nationalist Pentecostal adherents to the Seven Mountain Mandate propagated by Lance Wallnau, who claims that Harris is possessed by an occult spirit. His followers want Christian values to infuse every aspect of our society. They are not talking about “turn the other cheek.” Vance spoke at one of their political events.
